Overview

Piston Automotive is seeking an IT Senior EDI/ERP Analyst for our Southfield, MI Corporate Office. The IT Senior EDI/ERP Analyst will be responsible for working closely with our business personnel in designing and implementing solutions to support our EDI environment and E-Commerce environment to communicate with our customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Customer and Supplier EDI and E-Commerce point of contact.
  • Design, develop, and setup new trading partnerships and maps for customers and suppliers using EDI.
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis and support EDI and E-Commerce applications as required to maintain communication with our customers and suppliers.
  • Provide system documentation on how to use and maintain EDI and E-Commerce applications, tables, and files.
  • Review EDI and E-Commerce software products to keep our systems state-of-the-art.
  • Make recommendations on how to improve our EDI and E-Commerce environment.
  • Ensure that all hardware, software, and database problems are solved in a timely and efficient manner for EDI and E-Commerce functions.
  • Maintain the proper support levels on all software that pertains to EDI and E-Commerce functions.
  • Work with the Operations and Network IT Team to help maintain the proper support levels on all hardware, networks, and infrastructure that pertain to EDI and E-Commerce functions.
  • Perform and assist with EDI and E-Commerce upgrades and testing.
  • Schedule, test, and implement B2B & XML based transactions with customers and supply chain partners.
  • Ensure that disaster recovery capabilities are in place and that back-up personnel are available.
  • Ensure proper compliance with all EDI and E-Commerce software license agreements. 
  • Maintain EDI and E-Commerce schedules for upgrades.
  • Monitor the systems to ensure normal operation. Ensure the quality and integrity of the data within the EDI System.
  • Train personnel on how to use and maintain our EDI and E-Commerce products.
  • Maintain an on-going list of active projects and provide periodic updates (monthly or as directed) of project status.
  • Participates in budget planning, implementation, and monitoring for purchase and maintenance of hardware and software.
  • Responsible for managing security and reliability
  • Needs to enforce standards and policies with in the IS/IT framework

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and/or eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with IT automotive systems preferred.
